AirMax RG is a powerful PCP air rifle from Hatsan Arms of the bullpup type. It is equipped with a pressure regulator that provides constant pressure to the firing valve and eliminates fluctuations in the muzzle velocity. Thanks to the regulator, the rifle shoots consistently, and the air in the cartridge is used more efficiently, resulting in more shots per charge. The air rifle is available in calibers: .177 (4.5 mm), .22 (5.5 mm), .25 (6.35 mm).
Bullpup - a weapon design mechanism known for shifting the magazine and bolt chamber behind the trigger mechanism. By using a stockless system, compact rifle dimensions are achieved while maintaining a normal barrel length that guarantees excellent accuracy and reduced recoil typical for this design.
Power supply - compressed air from a fixed pressure tank under the barrel with a capacity of 400 cc (air tube bottle) and an additional 90 cc (air tube). When fully charged, it allows for 85 to 120 effective shots depending on the caliber (data for the FAC* version). The built-in manometer allows for continuous monitoring of the pressure in the tank and thus its charge level. Due to the large cartridge capacity, it is recommended to charge only from a technical or diving cylinder (300 bar). 130 bar is the minimum operating pressure in the cartridge recommended by the manufacturer.
Barrel - precise rifled barrel with a length of 23" (585 mm) Hatsan QE (QuietEnergy) covered with a metal jacket. It is finished with an integrated sound suppressor reducing the sound of the shot by -50%. This solution helps maintain maximum muzzle energy of the pellets, which can be difficult with an optional suppressor. Hatsan designers have addressed this issue, and the balance of the air rifle has also improved. The narrowing at the muzzle of the barrel, called a choke, improves accuracy. The quality of the barrel's workmanship is one of the most important elements of any weapon / air rifle. It affects the accuracy of the rifle, especially when shooting at long distances.
Stock - bullpup type with a thumbhole TH (ThumbHole) made of beech wood. By using a stockless system, compact rifle dimensions are achieved while maintaining a normal barrel length that guarantees accuracy and reduced recoil typical for this design. Ventilated rubber butt plate absorbing shot energy. Adjustable cheekpiece height with a button.
Mounting rail - tactical version with a double mounting rail of 11 mm / 22 mm, allowing for the installation of any optical sight. The rail complies with the MIL-STD 1913 standard (also known as picatinny or Weaver). An additional picatinny standard rail is located on the underside of the stock.
Magazines - interchangeable, rotary with a capacity of 9 or 10 pellets depending on the caliber offered. Reloading with a two-stroke side lever action. This cocks the "hammer", rotates the magazine, and introduces a new pellet into the barrel chamber. Two magazines are included.
Oxidation - the bolt chamber is oxidized in black, other elements are covered with blue finish oxidation.
Additional equipment - metal swivel studs for attaching a gun sling. Quick-Fill tip for quick filling of the cartridge with air using a cylinder (300 bar).
The AirMax RG air rifle is equipped with a range of solutions that improve comfort and safety of use:
-
Quattro Trigger, a 2-stage fully adjustable trigger mechanism. Adjustment of the length of the first stage (slack) and the second stage of the trigger blade (Trigger Load). Adjustment of the hardness (sensitivity / resistance) of the trigger blade (Trigger Pull). Allows for individual customization of the trigger characteristics to user requirements to ensure the best possible accuracy.
-
Anti-Double-Pellet Feed, a mechanism preventing more than one pellet from being loaded into the barrel.
-
Anti-Knock System®, a patented system that prevents loss of compressed air in case of mechanical impact on the air rifle.
-
Manual - automatic safety, which protects against unintentional firing, automatically engaged when reloading the air rifle. Before firing, the safety must be pressed with the thumb.
For every air rifle not exceeding 17J, the manufacturer includes a unique 17 J Energy Limit Certificate. The certificate is a document stating the conformity of the product's characteristics, and thus the legality of the air rifle with Polish regulations. Air rifles legally imported into the Polish market have the website address www.sharg.pl engraved, the exclusive distributor of Sharg.
