Snubnose <Eng. turned up nose>, a revolver with a barrel 3 inches or shorter. Very popular among undercover police officers. The law limiting the magazine capacity of firearms that can be carried (The Federal Assault Weapons Ban) based on the Right to Carry, to 10 rounds, contributed to the popularity of this type of revolver on the civilian market.

Construction - fire-hardened steel frame (open skeleton). Black blued steel trigger guard, grip fittings, and a round 3" barrel, rifling twist 1-30".

Cylinder - steel, 6-chamber, blued black. Engraved naval battle scene on the cylinder.

Grip panels - checkered grip panels made of natural walnut wood provide a secure grip on the weapon. Deep indentations facilitate accurate shots even with hands dirty from powder and grease; the panels do not slip from the hand. Oiling enhances the wood's color, highlights the grain, and preserves its natural appearance.

Trigger - The trigger cocking mechanism allows for two positions: half-cocked for placing percussion caps on the nipples, and cocked for firing.

Ramrod - brass ramrod included, designed for pressing lead balls into the cylinder chambers.
