Vortex Gas Piston®, a patented, innovative gas piston technology for spring air rifles developed and manufactured by Hatsan Arms. It guarantees quiet operation of the air rifle (no vibrations), smooth spring action, reduced recoil, shot repeatability, improves air rifle accuracy even at long distances (with much higher pellet muzzle velocity), no muzzle velocity drop, and identical air rifle parameters (no wear of the gas spring throughout its entire service life).

Hatsan AirTact ED Vortex Gen 2 air rifle characteristics

Barrel - made of German steel, rifled, and very precise, with a length of 14.5" (370 mm). Covered with a polymer shroud, ending with an integrated sound moderator that significantly reduces the shot noise, without the Hatsan QE (Quiet Energy). The solution used allows the air rifle to maintain its nominal power. An optional silencer may require calibration of optical devices, as tightening them can change the ballistic parameters of the projectile. Hatsan designers have addressed this issue, and the air rifle's balance has also improved. The barrel ends with a muzzle break with an integrated sound moderator, making the air rifle easier to cock.

Stock - ergonomic with a TH (thumbhole) thumbhole, suitable for both right and left-handed users. Made of durable polymer in black. The knurling on the pistol grip and the central part of the forearm ensures a secure grip. The profiled Monte Carlo type cheekpiece facilitates aiming and shooting. The stock is finished with a rubber buttpad that absorbs recoil energy after a shot and provides a stable resting point.

Mount - tactical with a double 11 mm / 22 mm rail adapted to the picatinny or weaver standard. Allows mounting of any optical sight or clamp. The stopper integrated with the rail absorbs recoil after a shot, prevents optics from moving along the rail, and prevents the sight from being misaligned.

Safety systems in the Hatsan AirTact ED Vortex Gen 2 air rifle

This highly reliable air rifle is equipped with a number of solutions improving comfort and safety of use. The use of simple and durable solutions in Hatsan rifles makes them highly reliable products that can be enjoyed for a long time. It is durability that Hatsan air rifles are famous for.

• Adjustable trigger mechanism without the Quattro Trigger system. Allows individual adjustment of the trigger characteristics according to preferences and shooting style to ensure the best possible accuracy.

• Automatic safety - located at the rear of the air rifle's cylinder chamber, it protects against unintentional firing. This placement allows for intuitive operation of the safety with the thumb. Before firing, the safety must be pressed to release the trigger lock (each time the air rifle spring is cocked, it automatically engages).

• Anti Bear-Trap Safety - protection against premature release of the spring during cocking, thus protecting the user from potential hand or finger injuries.

• TruGlo - fiber optic sights with contrasting colors of glass fibers speed up the alignment of the front and rear sights, and thanks to high light absorption, they also allow shooting in low light conditions. Tunnel front sight in red and rear sight in green with vertical and horizontal adjustment.

For every air rifle not exceeding 17J, the manufacturer includes a unique 17 J Energy Limit Certificate. The certificate is a document confirming the product's compliance with, and thus the legality of the air rifle under Polish regulations.
